The College of Veterinarians of BC (CVBC or the College) is a self-governing professional regulatory body created under The Veterinarians Act of the Province of British Columbia. CVBC was established in 2010 through the transformation of the BC Veterinarian Medical Association into the College. The College is governed by a 9-member Board of Directors (the Council) comprised of five veterinarians and four public members and is responsible for ensuring that the public and animals of BC are served by a competent and ethical profession. CVBC regulates approximately 2,000 veterinarians (registrants), and has an annual budget of approximately $3M, a $4M investment portfolio, and a subsidiary captive insurance company.

- Build and maintain effective stakeholder relations including the public, government, veterinarians, and other provincial bodies and stakeholder groups.
- Establish and build a strong and collaborative team and manage the effective administration of the College and its operations including human resources, financial management, budgeting, IT, communications, member registration and complaints and investigations.
