    The Canada-Newfoundland and Labrador Offshore Petroleum Board (C-NLOPB) is the independent regulator of offshore oil and gas activity off the coasts of Newfoundland and Labrador, on behalf of the federal and provincial governments. Created in 1986 through the Atlantic Accord and its implementing legislation, the C-NLOPB provides regulatory oversight of operator activities in the areas of health and safety, environmental protection, resource management and Canada-Newfoundland and Labrador benefits.

    the role

    The C-NLOPB invites applications for the position of Quality Manager. Reporting to the Director of Corporate Services and Regulatory Affairs, this new position will take a lead role in the development of a Quality/Business Management System (BMS). This position will manage and maintain the BMS in collaboration with corporate and functional departments to continually improve process effectiveness and efficiencies. The Quality Manager will be responsible for oversight of all C-NLOPB quality initiatives including the Management of Change process, Management Review Program, development of a document control system, and the delivery of related training. In addition, the Quality Manager will design and oversee a risk based Internal Audit Program and act as the Primary Auditor.


    The ideal candidate has extensive experience in the development and oversight of quality management systems, including significant auditing experience. Superior communication abilities, both written and verbal, are required. Proficiency in MS Office is essential. Candidates must possess relevant post secondary education and an ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor certificate. Experience in the oil and gas industry would be considered an asset.
